All About the Pool
Summer is all about the pool in my house and this was the year that my 4-year-old son Joey mastered swimming without any floaties or life jackets. Once he got the hang of it there was no stopping him and he started jumping off the diving board too! This picture is what summer is all about in my house!

Private Play Space
This was taken on our condo's rooftop in downtown Toronto. It's one of our favourite places to play because it's our only private outdoor space. We'll definitely miss it when it closes in November.
-
First Fire
It was baby's first fire up at the cottage. Hannah is the first of the fifth generation of our family to spend memorable summers at Rice Lake (Ontario).
-
Summer Side Stalls
The best part of summer is visiting roadside stalls with gorgeous fruits and vegetables. This photo was taken at Quiet Acres Farm in Niagara on the Lake.

Bingo!
Time for a break from the swimming. It's Bingo time poolside.
-
Water Resistant
My daughter can't resist the water even if she just got out. This sums up our summer perfectly.

Thankful Son
This is a picture of my son Easton and I, taken at visiting day at the overnight camp where he was for the month of July. As a single mom, finances are always precarious at best. I have no idea how, but somehow I managed to scrape together the money and sent him to a great camp. The day this picture was taken, my son told me that this was the best summer of his life.

Loved London
We had a blast being able to experience London during the Olympics. The atmosphere in the city was really upbeat. It will certainly be a summer to remember.
-
Sibling Bond
This is one of my favourite summer memories because it captures the sheer joy and silliness of being a kid, as well as the deep bond between my children.
-
Family Camp
This was our first time camping out as a family. I loved seeing the kids pitch in to pitch the tent! It wasn't a perfect night, but it was a lot of fun.

Missing My Sister
Here are my daughters after not seeing each other for two weeks while they were at different summer camps. It was nice to see how much they missed each other.
-
Cute Cousins
Two cousins enjoying an afternoon stroll at the Toronto waterfront. One of those iconic pictures they will look at 20 years from now with a smile.
-
Beautiful Baby
My best summer memory was the birth of my second daughter, Clara, born August 24th!

Tween Synchronized Swimmers
Back in July, I took four tween boys (my own plus two friends) camping. It was just after the olympics started, and the kids spent one afternoon in the water replicating many of that week's sporting events. Watching team Canada's tween synchronized swimmers was definitely one of my favourite moments.
