Why I Hate Valentine’s Day But My Kids Still Hand Out Valentines Day Cards at School

My husband and I are grouchy Valentine’s Day haters. But we still allow our kids to hand out Valentine’s Day cards at school. Some years it’s and awesome Pinterest worthy craft, other times it’s just cards from Walmart that we bought the night before.  And while it would be really easy to just say to our girls that we aren’t going to send cards to celebrate an over glorified hallmark holiday, we won’t. Instead we will be helping our girls scribble their names on over 40 Valentine’s Day cards (we opted into the Walmart box this year).
